For those who remember the movie "Jeepers Creepers" in full detail?

I think this is a GREAT horror movie. But, from different sources, I've come to realize most people don't agree.



What do you think about the movie? Am I perhaps the only one who appreciates the intensity of the horror of being taken away from your loved ones as pray (like Darry was) to an underground dark and desolate place away from the city, and then eaten alive and carved out like a pumping?



How 'bout the night scene when the old crazy lady with the cats is seen going into the darkness of her own house to deal with a violent un-human creature, all by herself?



Could it be maybe that most people who like horror prefer to actually see gore and mutilation, and care less about psychological horror?

I agree with you. I thought it was a very intense movie also. I was also taken by the elements you mentioned shown in the movie. One thing that always bothers me in these type of films is the fact that if the characters are alerted of danger they disregard the warnings. For instance in this movie the siblings are warned by a psychic who describes in detail the horror that awaits them. The woman is so sincere she almost starts crying. What's up with that? Wouldn't any rational person feel there's some legitimacy in what the concerned person is saying? I would. All in all it was a good movie and tough on the nerves!
Reply:i LOVE the jeepers creepers movies, though the first one had to be my favorite just because the thought of you and someone else being out alone on a road in the middle of nowhere, suddenly to find yourself being chased by the very essense of evil, i hope there is a number 3, in a commentary the director said he wasnt ready to let the creature talk yet, but, i hope he does soon

as much as i love gore and mutilation, if thats all there is ill be bored out of my mind, thats why movies like jeepers creepers and saw rock my sox :)

Reply:the movie sucked as far as horror went. Not only was the creature not scary but the entire movie just wasn't good. But it was funny. I personally would actually like to see something realistic for a movie to be good.
