ok so my prom is in may sometime, and theres this girl i want to ask, we're really good friends, and i just want to go as friends? can i do that?? anyways im like 99% sure she'll say yes, she's one of those flirty types. anyways she recently told me about some guy she's never met before(he sounds like a amd creeper) and she said she may end up going to prom with him if no one asks her.. i actually plan on asking her tho.. when should i?? how can i increase my chances? and can we go as just friends? or should i just go by myself, but i dont want her to go with some creeper tho :S



what are some creative yet non-leading ways to ask her, like i dont want her 2 ge thte wrong idea..

Congrats for working up the courage for making your friend's day! The key is to me casual, I find for most people. You better do it soon, though, cause you don't want her to be taken!



I would suggest asking her right after class and say, "A lot of people are asking each other to the prom. I was wondering if you wanted to go with me." If she says yes, well then congratulations, but if not, try not to let your sadness show. Say something like, "Okay that's cool." And then just walk away. Girls aren't necessarily looking for something creative, I think she would be so psyched to BE asked. Good luck!!! I hope this helps, dude!

Reply:yeah, ask her soon. So the creep has no chance of getting in edgewise. Just say, like, "hey, want to go to the prom with me? As friends, I mean. Because you said you'd go with so-and-so if nobody asked you, and I don't like the looks of him. Are you up for it?" If she says yes, go as "just friends, but be prepared for some teasing.
