Does anyone here not have dreams?

When I was young I dreamt all the time in vivid color. The older I got, the creeper they seemed to get. Now I don't seem to dream at all (or at least remember nothing). I'm on antidepressants, but this started before. I miss my dreams, at least the good ones. Does anyone know else have this problem or know why it'd happen?

Does anyone here not have dreams?
I know you said it started before, but...every time I have been on an antidepressant I have not remembered my dreams at all. This also happened when I was very depressed, but I was not sleeping well then either. As soon as I got on my current medication, I am sleeping well, but do not remember dreams.

I miss them too.
Reply:I have dreams but I can't remember them unless right when I wake up I commit them to memory, but thats hard to do 1st thing in the morning. Most people are focusing on not tripping over stuff while navigating your way to the bathroom. By then you don't remember your dreams. Maybe put a tablet or one of those recorders that doctors have on your nightstand to try and capture the memory.
Reply:Talk to your doctor
Reply:I don't dream very often... and if I do, I cannot remember what it was about unless I think about it right after waking up.

I am not on any medications so I would say that it is normal.
Reply:You do dream, you just do not remember them.

I wish I slept that sound!!!!

Seriously, try keeping a pad of paper next to the bed and write down anything you may even slightly remember while you are in the stage between wake and sleep.
Reply:I dream all of the time. I wish I didn't.
Reply:Appearantly, according to my wife whos a psychologist, we are having dreams the entire time during our sleep. However, we remember very few of the dreams we have during our sleep.

Cheers!
Reply:no i dont have this problem
Reply:everyone dreams several times everynight it's just a matter of remembering them

sometime before falling alseep make a point to tell your self that you will remember your dreams

how you wake up makes a difference too.. when you wake up just lay there and absorb your dream it u have an alarm or you wake up and just start rushing thoughts throught your head, your dreams will just go out the window like nothing ever happened

you should also try going to bed earlier =]

Reply:They say you always dream but you just don't remember it. I take Vit. B supplements in a high dose and this helps with dream recall.
Reply:yer the same thing happens to me if something drops I'm awake but i don't dream that much its hard to when Nealy everything wakes you up it should be normal sleeping pills would help with the light sleeping but i think your dream problem should be normal but there's no harm checking with a doctor
Reply:i dont remember my dreams often but i know we dream about 3 to 5 times a night, your meds do depress the dreaming i think.
Reply:a lot of medications can mess with your sleeping patterns and dreams. also, when your older, your dreams tend to be more scary or weird. your dreams tend to revolve around your fears, hopes, ambitions, ect. and when you have more stress in your life, your dreams will tend to get more intense. I usually keep a notebook next to my bed and i write down what i remeber from my dreams when i first wake up.
