I'm looking for a girl group that emerged this year - puccini sisters / porcini sisters ??

Something like that...they did a load of covers of old tracks like Jeepers Creepers and looked very cute in a retro sort of way. Anyway, can anyone help me with the name?

I'm looking for a girl group that emerged this year - puccini sisters / porcini sisters ??
The Puppini Sisters !

The Puppini Sisters are a trio of the Italian Marcella Puppini and English Stephanie O'Brien and Kate Mullins. The group was founded by Marcella after she was inspired by the animated film Belleville Rendez-vous. The Puppini Sisters' debut single, "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy", is a cover of the iconic hit single by The Andrews Sisters and, although the three are not actually related, they name themselves so in tribute to The Andrews Sisters. One of the more unusual songs in their repertoire is Kate Bush's "Wuthering Heights", sung in the style of the Andrews Sisters. Marcella, Stephanie and Kate studied music at Trinity College of Music in London.

The Puppini Sisters are currently supported by a three-piece band featuring Martin Kolarides on guitar, Henry Tyler on drums/percussion and upright bassist Nick Pini.

Title: Jeepers Creepers

I don't care what the weather man says,

When the weatherman says it's raining,

You'll never hear me complaining,

I'm certain the sun will shine,

I don't care how the weather vane points,

When the weather vane points to gloomy,

It's gotta be sunny to me, when your eyes look into mine; oh

Jeepers Creepers! Where'd ya get those peepers?

Jeepers Creepers! Where'd ya get those eyes?

Gosh all git up! How'd they get so lit up?

Gosh all git up! How'd they get that size?

Golly gee! When you turn those heaters on,

Woe is me!

Got to get my cheaters on, Jeepers Creepers!

Where'd ya get those peepers? On! Those weepers!

How they hypnotize!

Where'd ya get those eyes?
Reply:Puppini sisters.

Asking a girl out, girls point of view?

well, i've never asked a girl out, im in second year university, but yeah, never really did the date thing, generally im just outgoing and find girls through just going to house parties and stuff, but my girlfriend and i recently broke up and i want to get back out there, but i dont really know how to meet the right girl anymore, bars and stuff arent always the best place to meet a good girl, but if not there, then where!? can you ask a random girl out on a date??? i've thought about this, is it not creepy that a random guy walks up to you and asks you out for coffee sometime? i strive not to be one of "those guys" the creepers that girls everywhere try to avoid... as well, ive heard of guys being persistent with asking a girl out, like, asking 2 or 3 times if they get rejected the first time, is that endearing to women, or just annoying? as i said, im outgoing, and i worked construction all summer so i have a good physique, definitely not a creepster, so any advice?

Asking a girl out, girls point of view?
First of all if you want a girl to date then you need to go to the girls. Think of things girls like to do? My brother in law met my sister taking a ball room dancing class at a university. My other brother in law met my other sister helping out with womans sports at college too. Do you understand what I am saying? Don't expect girls to come to you. when you are taking a class say ballroom dancing you can strike up conversations with them get to know them and then you can ask them out.
Reply:Girls love it when a guy comes up and starts a conversation, and since you're outgoing I doubt you'll have a problem with that. If you talk to a girl, and things are going well, ask for her phone number so you can take her out sometime...

If you're attending a University, there is no better place to meet girls (unless its an all mens school, of course). Your classes, on campus, events and parties are all prime opportunities to talk with new ladies.

BTW - guys asking us out again and again when we say no is annoying and uncomfortable...

Best of Luck!
Reply:look to see if I'm busy, if not, come up and make a Witty remark. I don't mind a good pickup line as long as it is original and not offensive

Urban Legends: Bloody Mary

If you want more click on this site, it will give you a list of horror movies :

http://watch-movies.net/genres/horror/
Reply:Well most likely you want something less mainstream and more original, all the ones you mentioned are the big name ones. More recent ones like Stephen King's the Mist is not bad, the acting is not A grade but the ending is pure shock and horror. Or Maybe some classics like Silence of the Lambs, They Live, The Thing , Aliens (the second one), Predator (the first one, second one was ****), Dawn of the Dead (Remake or original), Evil Dead 2 Try some foreign ones they are usually more orginal

UK: 28 Weeks Later, Shaun of the Dead

France: Inside

Korea: Old boy

Japan : The Ringu or Juon (aka drowned emo little girls), Battle Royale

I don't count the Saw or Hostel movies as horror, they are better described as Snuff or torture porn
Reply:Some of these are stylish, while others I simply found interesting, even when reviewers slam them. If they kept me entertained and gave me some chills or even made me jumpy, I pass the titles along.

Boo (2005)

IMDB synopsis:

A group of teens decide to go party in an abandoned hospital on Halloween. Unfortunately for them, the place is haunted by some very nasty ghosts who don't want them to leave.

NOTE: This seems to be uniformly slammed, and I can't see why! So, you might approach with caution because I seem to be the one who would hang the jury on this.

The Dark (2005)

IMDB synopsis:

In mourning over the tragic drowning of their daughter Sarah, James and Adele are visited by Ebrill, a young girl who bears a startling resemblance to Sarah but claims she died 60 years ago.

Dead Birds (2004)

IMDB synopsis:

A group of Confederate soldiers hole up in an abandoned plantation after robbing a bank and find themselves at the mercy of supernatural forces.

Dead Silence (2007)

IMDB synopsis:

Not long after a package containing a ventriloquist's dummy is delivered to their home, Jamie Ashen's wife is found disfigured and dead in their apartment. With no alibi, Jamie is considered the prime suspect. Driven by an old story about the vengeful ghost of Mary Shaw, he travels to his hometown of Ravens Fair to prove his innocence~but finds more than he bargained for.

Death Line (1972)

aka Raw Meat

IMDB synopsis:

There's something pretty grisly going on under London in the Tube tunnels between Holborn and Russell Square. When a top civil servant becomes the latest to disappear down there Scotland Yard start to take the matter seriously. Helping them are a young couple who get nearer to the horrors underground than they would wish.

The Gravedancers (2006)

IMDB synopsis:

After the funeral of a friend and former classmate, Harris, Kira, and Sid break into the local cemetery after dark, and, after Sid reads a mysterious incantation he finds on one of the nearby tombstones, they dance on the graves. Soon after, the three of them find themselves haunted by three different ghosts whose graves they desecrated.

Penny Dreadful (2005)

IMDB synopsis:

Young Penny goes on a retreat with her psychologist. The intention is to help her overcome her phobia~an intense fear of cars~the results of witnessing her parents' death in an auto accident. Unexpected events find her in a nightmarish situation where her worst fears come true.

Pumpkinhead (1988)

IMDB:

A man conjures up a gigantic vengeance demon called Pumpkinhead to destroy the teenagers who accidentally killed his son.

NOTE: This is truly a remarkable horror film, with a fantastic performance by Lance Henriksen as the vengeful father. The cinematography, use of color, sets, sound effects: Every element works beautifully. It's far more than the usual one-by-one deaths. The two sequels are barely worth watching.

Salvage (2006)

IMDB synopsis:

Claire Parker is going to die. At the hands of a sadistic and depraved killer, she will endure an unimaginably brutal death~then awaken at work--where it all began--untouched and unharmed. But the hellish ordeal is far from over. The madman is back, and he's ready for more blood.

Wind Chill (2007)

IMDB synopsis:

Two college students share a ride home for the holidays. When they break down on a deserted stretch of road, they're preyed upon by the ghosts of people who have died there.

Others to consider are:

Fright Night

Ghost Story

The Howling

The Lost Boys

Burnt Offerings

Darkness Falls

The Changeling

The Gate (1987)

The Messengers

The Other (1972)

The Sentinel (1977)

An American Werewolf in London

The Haunting (1963)~This is one of THE best ghost stories of all time. The remake basically has a fantastic mansion and nothing else. All of the chills are in the original.

Ju-on: The Grudge 2 (2003)~This is my favorite of the series, weaving together the tragic stories of a number of people.

I could name so many more, as I, too, love horror films and obviously like a wide variety. I don't care for the recent "torture/horror porn" trend. At first, "Salvage" might appear as if it's going to be such a film, but stay with it because it's powerful and very nicely done.

"Death Line" aka "Raw Meat" is one I saw at 2 a.m. on Turner Classic Movies, and I'm glad that I taped it, as it's a horrific gem. I'm not a cannibal-movie fan, but this one is far different from any other of that kind, with a "monster" to be pitied.
Reply:If you have cable or dish watch the chiller channel. It's channel 199 where I live(L.A.).It shows nothing but scary movies and scary t.v. shows 24 hours a day. It's great.

You should watch "The Gate".It's 80's but it'll do the job.

What horror movie is this?

There was an ugly guy who had a giant tractor (or monster truck, cant remember) thing with lots of spikes that he would use to run over people, and he would steal other people's body parts (like, their hand, an eye, etc.) so that he and his sister could attach them to their brother in some kind of satanic ritual to rebuild the brother's body.

I saw it on halloween a few years ago, and I'm curious to know what it was! I asked this a while ago, and everyone said Jeepers Creepers, but I watched that today, and it isn't that =

Incredibly Scary Tense Movies?

Are there any horrific, scary movies to watch? I don't want to know about the classics because I've seen them all. Salems Lot, Exorcist, Friday 13th, The Shining...yada yada. I've seen the SAW movies, Decent, Session 9 (recommended but was boring!) Monsters are okay if their scary. The last thing I thought was scary with a lot of tension ironically was High Tension. I want something like that. Not Jeepers Creepers or Chainsaw Massacre, but something that will REALLY keep me on the edge of my seat if not turn on every light in the house. Is there anything like this out there?!?!?

Thanks!

Incredibly Scary Tense Movies?
Dead-alive 1 and dead alive 2. About zombies in the woods, old but classic!!! Not just reg zombies, just watch!!!
Reply:the scariest movie i ever saw was when i was a little kid, like 6 years old, called The Other. i had nightmares, which hadn't happened before or since. anyway, it came out on dvd fairly recently and i had it in my hands at the store but i had to put it down because even just reading the box freaked me out. and i know from the internet that i'm not the only one who is freaked out by this movie.

Low maintanence plants/flowers?

I am not much of a gardener...actually not at all...but I would love to have a garden...please tell me which are the plants/flowers that are low maintanence, even if I dont water them daily will thrive and bud...I love creepers...I am going to Lowe's tomorrow to buy some plants...or is there better stores to buy cheaper plants?...

Thanks gardener's out there.....

Low maintanence plants/flowers?
It depends on where you live and the light requirement.

My favorite low maintenance plants/flowers:

Lamium Purple Dragon

Daylily

Liriope

Heuchera

Geranium

Bearded Iris

Asiatic Lily

Oriental Lily

Peony

Azalea

Hosta

Fern

Bleeding Heart

Lowe's has nice selection of plants and their prices are very reasonable too, I love to go there and look for plants. Other store that has cheaper plants is Walmart, just make sure the plants that you buy are healthy and not dying cause they tend to care less about their plants.
Reply:It depends on where you live so that is a difficult question to answer. I would recommend going to your local library to see if they have some books about gardening for your area. Or, better yet, contact your local extension agency. They usually have brochures and hand-outs on various topics. They are usually really helpful.

Lowe's is a good source for plants if your store takes good care of them. You might also check to see if you have some locally owned nurseries. The people there can also be helpful.
Reply:Vinca and pachysandra are two ground covers that seem to need no maintenance, besides some watering if you have a few weeks with no rain.

For low maintenace flowers, day lillies need practically no help. Tulips are easy but don't keep flowering well over the years. Hardy geraniums keep plugging with just occasional watering. Asters about the same.
Reply:IVY PLANTS DO NT REQUIRE A LOT OF TLC, I WATER MINE ONCE A WEEK AND PLUCK THE BROWN LEAVES OFF WHEN I SEE THEM. IVY'S ARE ALSO EASY TO TRANSPLANT. WHEN I CLIP MY PLANT TO SHAPE THE CUT OFFS I GET I REPLANT AND THEY GROW LIKE MAD. BEGONIA'S ARE ALSO A THRIVING PLANT, AND EASY TO CARE FOR AND TRANSPLANT ALSO. ALOE PLANTS ARE ALSO EASY TO THRIVE AND TRANSPLANT AND GOOD FOR BURNS AND BOO BOOS TOO. GOOD LUCK BUT THESE DO SUCCEED CUZ MY THUMB IS FAR FROM BEING A GREEN ONE SO I CHOSE THESE PLANTS BECAUSE THEY DO NT REQUIRE A LOT OF ATTENTION
Reply:I love Geraniums. They love the sun and can stand heat. Also, they can take abuse...like not enough water and pouring coffee or tea into them.

When the leaves start to fade just break them off at the bottom of the stem...

They are hard to kill and therefore will save you money!!

Good Luck,

Kris

Reply:Hi:

I am a landscaper and designer. There are a variety of low maintenance shrubs and flowers that are available to you. I would recommend to go to your local nursery or garden center first. Most nurseries and garden centers have a wide range for you. Talk with the nursery people about what you have in mind. One thing to look at when you are selecting plants is to lift the plant and look at the bottom of the container. If the roots are hanging out, the plant needs to go into the ground soon. (it might of also been in the container too long)

I am not sure what zone you live in but also consider herbs. They are easy to grow, have many beautiful flowers and can be culinary or ornamental. There is the creeping Rosemary, creeping Thyme and creeping Mint.

There are a lot of evergreen shrubs also such as many kinds of Junipers, Artborvitaes, and Cypress. I will link you to the gallery of plants section of my website. There are a variety for you to look at as well as descriptions and zones. There are also some more plants in the variety or more plant specimen section. I will also link you to the site map, as this page has everything that is on the website. Browse through as there are many articles, tips and techniques that may help you with your garden project. If you need further suggestions, please feel free to contact me and I would be happy to help you get your garden going. Best of luck to you, and have a great day.

Please help if you can?

I need to know the name of a song.

Some of the lyrics are:

Quiet eyed sleepers

Daylight creepers.

Bleeding moments spilling over

Non existing as they crawl out in to a world that calls them real.

The show must go on.
