Reply:Unfortunately, these things exist only because they sound good. You will learn nothing about new ones knowing the meaning of a few.
Hanky-panky is mischievousness, often sexual in nature.
Jeepers-creepers is anxiety, often linked with fear, due to scary surroundings or sights.
Topsy-turvy is well mixed up, or upset, so direction or correctness becomes uncertain.
Reply:As far as I know...Hanky -panky means you're doing something you're not supposed to be doing...usually infers sexual things. ....Jeepers-creepers means something is scary or weird....and topsy-turvy mean everything is upside down....sometimes people would say that after a party.."the house was topsy turvy"
Other people might mean different things when they say these things. I think jeepers creepers can also just be an expletive.
Reply:Hanky-panky- Activity which must be kept private and personal, usually completed in a remote copy room.
Jeepers-creepers-Expletive uttered only be Velma from Scooby Doo upon seeing a zombie/ghost/Don Knotts.
Topsy-turvy-When everything gets turned upside down; i.e. You find out your wife's been cheating on you, with your twin brother you never knew you had. Usually not a good thing.
