I can't answer this until you tell me exactly what the Jeepers Creepers guy was! Was it a man, a bird, a bug. I don't think it could win against anyone except a couple of kids who decide that the best course of action is to investigate some scary looking cave when they know that someone is trying to kill them!!
Besides, Jason is like a cat, he has many lives, so he would return anyway.
