What is that creature on the Jeepers Creepers movies?

Interesting, reminds me of a part bat/vampire/human. Supposed to be fairly immortal, though. Any ideas?

Reply:if you watch the extras on jeepers creepers 2, the creator says he doesn't know exactly what he is. he doesn't want to call him a demon because he doesn't want to mix religion with his monster. he left it to the imaginations of the audience. i like to think of him as a demon of some sort. maybe a subspecies of human that survived a catastrophic event. who knows....
