I really like vines, but the many seem to be toxic to dogs and cats (like Virginia Creeper or English Ivy). My dog and cat would probably not touch a vine when they have grass to nibble on, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.
I want a vine that is evergreen (but doesn't HAVE to be, as long as it won't look dead), and can live in partial/full shade, zone 8 (Vancouver).
What vines are safe for dogs and cats?
I recently found that the website for the American Society for the Prevention and Cruelty of Animals has a good section on poisonous plants for pets. Here is the link.

Hope this helps.
