What scary movies should we watch?

amnityville horror

texas chainsaw massacre: the beginning

dead silence (stupidest movie ever)

saw 1,2,3

the omen

house of wax

and some others i cant think of....

we were thinking

jeepers creepers

exorcist

texas chainsaw massacre

.....

are those movies any good?

What scary movies should we watch?
If you can get the director's cut of Exorcist, you're in good company
Reply:Jeepers Creepers is okay, Excorcist will scare the s*** out of you, and I've never seen the texas chainsaw massacre. I personally like Scream(1)
Reply:HMMM. HOW BOUT

SCHOOL OF ROCK!
Reply:The Haunting (original)

Halloween (watched it last night for the nth time)

Pumpkinhead

The Pit %26amp; The Pendulum (with Vincent Price)

The Howling

An American Werewolf in London

Cujo~This is real-life horror and could be more frightening than most horror films!

Wendigo~It starts very quietly but builds to quite a smash ending!

Burn, Witch, Burn

Invasion of the Body Snatchers~The original is the best to me, a sci fi film with horrific elements.

Premonition (Japanese-subtitled)~This one made ME jump several times, something that rarely happens.

Darkness Falls

Ring 1 and 2

The Grudge 1 and 2

The Wicker Man~Only the original will do! The remake tries very hard but can't match the first one.

Carnival of Souls (b%26amp;w original preferred)

Nightmare on Elm Street series~especially the first one, Dream Warriors (third), and Wes Craven's New Nightmare

The Mummy (with Boris Karloff)

The Mummy (with Brendan Fraser and *SIGH* Oded Fehr)

The Mummy Returns

She Creature (2001)~I started watching this one, an updating of an old b%26amp;w horror film, expecting nothing of it. I was very soon mesmerized! Now, I want to catch this again and tape it this time! Rya Kihlstedt is the hauntingly beautiful, eerie, and fierocious mermaid in captivity whose influence begins to affect everyone on board a ship. Her captors are portrayed by Rufus Sewell (always gorgeous!) and Carla Gugino. The imbd description has the title as "Mermaid Chronicles 1: She Creature", which makes me wonder if a sequel was made!

Any Val Lewton film is worth seeing multiple times:

Cat People (not the bloody remake!)

Curse of the Cat People

Body Snatcher (with Boris Karloff~not to be confused with films made from the Jack Finney novel)

I Walked with a Zombie~It's not really frightening but is a hauntingly beautiful, eerie film, especially when the nurse takes the zombie-wife to the ceremony, walking through the canefields.

The Leopard Man

Bedlam

Isle of the Dead

The Seventh Victim

I'd give a thumbs up to Jeepers Creepers, and Jeepers Creepers 2 is worth following it up with.

The original Omen trilogy~The Omen, Damien: Omen 2, and Final Conflict~are quite interesting end-to-end. Most consider the third one the weakest, but Sam Neill does give a--um--heckuva performance! The remake of The Omen was very poor!
Reply:scream was pretty good. not that scary, but gory.
Reply:Some other scary movies that seem up your alley are the grudge, the ring, the hills have eyes, hostel, turistas, dawn of the dead, House of 1000 corpses..and others. I haven't seen the exorcist but yes I enjoyed jeepers creepers and texas chainshaw massacre. Though I am not a fan of scary movies those both scared me.
Reply:i highly recommend see no evil that movie scared the hell outta me
Reply:Halloween(1978) Best movie ever.

Dawn of the Dead

House on Haunted Hill is awesome

Exorcist is a very good movie to watch late at night in the dark

Texas Chainsaw one is good and the new re-make with Jessica Beal is also pretty good.
