I was 9 yrs old when it came out,



I wouldnt go in the local woods for years after that and my younger sister had nightmares for months,



And thats why they put 18 certificate's on horror films was my dads words to me

P.S. The rest of the movie is horrible, but the first 10 minutes are great for suspense.
Reply:The first time I saw "Scream" I was quite young and had seen practically 2 or 3 horror movies, so I thought it was pretty scary. It was also a good scene because it sucked you into the movie and made you want to see more.

When directors try to pull off the same thing today, it's just cliched and funny.
Reply:Halloween..... When a young Michael Myers put on the clown mask to kill his sister. You too cold only see through the masks eyes.... pretty creepy and scary

Reply:Tough one to call my friend but at a push i would have to say the opening scene to american history x was scary although it was not a horror film it does put scary thoughts in your head that this still goes on in the world now thats really scary.The scariest scene ever in a film is the flying monkeys in The Wizard of Oz that got me as a kid,i mean they are monkeys that fly and they're evil as well yikes every kids nightmare
