Movies set in texas?
These are the movies set in Dallas:

These are set in Houston:

And here's a list of movies filmed in Austin, Texas:

"What's Eating Gilbert Grape" was filmed in Lockhart, Texas. It happens to be one of my favorites, though it's not a horror or adventure-type. You might like the new thriller set in Austin called "Mexican Sunrise". Sounds good! I don't know if it's out yet. Check it out at: http://www.redjfilms.com/

and

P.S.--I just remembered that IMDb offers an EVEN more comprehensive list of movies set in different cities (like Austin) that can be found here, for example: http://www.imdb.com/List?endings=on%26amp;%26amp;loc...
Reply:Bubba Ho-Tep!!! It's a campy horror with "B" movie icon, Bruce Campbell

Blood Simple (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086979/plot... and No Country For Old Men (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0477348/) are two great Cohen Brothers' movies that take place in Texas.

Also, this may not be what you're looking for, but it's wonderful, a mystery with some suspense, kind of dark, called Lone Star (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116905/), starring Chris Cooper, Matthew McConaughey, and Kris Kristofferson. It's directed by John Sayles!

Hope you check these out--they're all really worth it.
