Should a real friend tell you if someone talks crap about you?

I found out one of my "best" friends had been talking **** about me on Facebook. Right on the WALL! My other so-called friends (the profile owner) asked if I read anything on her wall. I said no, why? She's like oh then I deleted the conversation too fast. I asked her what she was talking about, is it bad. She said it's not good. Then she said scroll down. I saw this so called best friend had called me a creeper. Right underneath the profile owner says LMAO you always know how to make me laugh. But obviously this girl had deleted everything she said about me. I asked her what the girl said about me and she wouldn't tell me.



I'm still reeling from this. Once again a "friend" had proven themselves untrustworthy to me.



Should a real friend hide things from you? Should they tell you if someone talks crap if they are your real friend?

No, a real friend would not hide things from you, and they definetly should not be talking about you behind your back. If I were you, I would talk to the person and ask what it was all about. Maybe they have never been told off about it, and they don't know how much it hurt you.

And yes, if someone were your real friend, they would tell you if someone else was talking about you, but I think your friend was a little more harsh than I would have been.
