Guys, is he shy? or am I hideous?

I think I'm too old for this childish behavior. Im in college and I see this guy everywhere. He never talks to me though, we have some classes together and I sent him a message on facebook just to say I see you around. He never replied. Huge blow to my ego. I see him sometimes outside of school and he works at the mall and when I walk by he just stares I can tell from the corner of my eyes. Also if my friend looks over when she's with me he quickly looks away or looks down and tries to look back up again. I wish he'd say something to me because it's just awkward. Can someone be THAT shy? Why does he stare that much, does he think I'm an unattractive creeper or he just looks over because he recognizes me...but this has been going on for almost a year and they're long stares

A year? Why are you waiting on him, sweet_ee? Swallow your pride and go talk with him.
Reply:you should be the one to go up to him and ask him for coffee or something that would get things going between you and him maybe he really likes you but doesnt know how to approach you. good luck
