I m so scared for high school ! help ?!?

I think I m scared because I m going to a new high school where only 2 of my friends are going, and I dont know anyone else.

I m a friendly person, I like to start random convos and than start talking, but it doesnt work all the time.

what are high school people like? will they think I m like a creeper just to start talking to them?

I really want alot of friends again, I hate being alone.!

and also, u know how in gr.8 theres like a popular group and than the nomal people ? and they dont really talk? is it like that in high school too ?

like a line in the class room weh we are eating ? ( cool people side and nomal people side ?)

its okay if you dont get wat I m talking about.

I dont know, so how can I make tons of friends with out scaring them ?

I'm fifteen - a sophmore. If I had no idea who you were and you just came up and started talking to me, I might be a little weirded out.

Just go up to them compliment them on something, like their shoes or hair or something. Then just kinda ease it into a conversation





The good thing is you have two friends already. Have them introduce you to their friends. Highschool is no where near as bad as people make it out to be. Just relax. You'll be fine.



And in eighth and ninth, the girls are pretty vicious i'm not gonna lie. but they tend to grow up a little bit around tenth grade. Everyoe s gonna sit with their little group of friends. Don't worry about being popular. Popular kids end up being the most annoying.
Reply:Don't be too eager to make friends,

as in don't ask them to 'hang out' after knowing them for only for a few days or even months.



Just be outgoing and don't disregard people just because you think that they're 'uncool' or 'too cool' for you.



And it also depends on what high school you go to.

I go to a large high school with more than 4500+ students..

Since it's so big, there arent a lot of specified cliques and everyone just talks with everyone.
Reply:High school is like real life. You have your little groups of people that hang out with each other and trash everyone else. The only thing I recommend to you is that you associate yourself with people who are good; don't always focus on the popular kids. They will get you in trouble and in 4 years, they won't be around anyway...enjoy it and be yourself. No one likes fake people even though that's the majority.....good luck!
Reply:I was in the same situation as you when i was going off to highschool. Don't worry it is so easy and you are going to have a blast! After all, these are "the best years of our lives". When i went, i made a ton of new friends and i am usually a bit standoffish. You are gana be fine!
Reply:Do sports and extracurricular activities after school. It'll win you alot of things.

Remember, trying to befriend everyone will give you no friends at all. OK, maybe if you're lucky you can disregard this rule.
Reply:High schools pretty cool don be worried and theirs actually alot of people that will talk to you when you barely even know them. I'll bet you love high school. Yah thers the popular the preps and that but there not that bad.
Reply:you dont need a lot of friends, just hang out with your two friends. dont worry about making friends in highschool. in highskool, its quality not quantaty, not everyone is a good friend.
