Movie: Freddy vs. Jason 2?

There are so many rumors that there is going to be a Freddy vs. Jason pt 2. Does anyone know if this is true? I am HOPING.

I think they should make it were Jeepers Creepers gets in Freddys way...you know Jeepers Creepers sleeps all that time....SO while he is sleeping he gets in Freddys way..

So When he is about to wake, Freddy calls on Jason to help illiminate him. So it would be Freddy %26amp; Jason -VS- Jeepers Creepers......HORROR...LOVE IT

...the long-romored, on-and-off project of "Freddy vs Jason 2", which was sometimed known as "Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash" (...which would have pitted Freddy and Jason against Ash, from the 'Evil Dead' movies), was finally dropped and/or permenantly shelved; instead, New Line Cimena is teaming up with Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes production company, to not only do a re-imagining/continuation of the original "Friday the 13th", but are also collaborating on prequel/re-imagining of the "Elm Street" franchise...



...as far as any other incarnation of the "Freddy vs. Jason 2/vs. Ash" idea, the writers of the proposed screenplay have 'taken their toys to another sandbox', so to speak; specifically, they have collaborated with Wildstorm, DC Comics, and Dynamite Entertainment, to create a presently running limited issue comic book rendition of their story...



...as silly as the idea is, I'm sorta hoping that enough positive interest in the comic book might be generated, so that New Line Cinema might coinsider picking this up again, for a feature film project...
